Festive Chocolate Tart

If you are looking for a chocolate dessert which is totally free from all food allergens to spoil your family and friends this Christmas, look no further!
This recipe is simple, delicious and takes less than 2 hours to prepare and serve!
Prep time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 15 minutes + 1 hour chilling
Total time: 85 minutes

Ingredients:
Crust

100g gluten free oats or oat flour

4 medjool dates (make sure they are stone free)

15g cacao powder

60g coconut oil
Filling
-
50g dairy free chocolate
-
70g coconut oil
-
30g cacao powder
-
6 medjool dates (stone free!)
Method:

Preheat oven to 180 degrees.

Grease a 20cm tart tin with dairy free spread/coconut oil.

In a blender blend the oats if using rolled oats.

Add in the dates, cacao powder and coconut oil.

Press the crust mixture into the bottom of the tart tin and bake for 15 minutes.

Take out and let cool.

In a small bowl microwave the chocolate with 30g of coconut oil until it melts and thickens.

Add in the cacao powder and mix well.

Add the chocolate mixture to the blender followed by the dates and the remaining coconut oil.

Blend until smooth and pour on top of the cooled crust.

Chill in the fridge for at least an hour.
